Go2Berg

The Old Mutual go2berg is a 7 day mountain bike stage ride through the heart of South Africa. It is an evolution of joberg2c.

Starting with a prologue in the Free State town of Frankfort, the route goes through Reitz to the tourist town of Clarens, and then to the escarpment for the big drop to Kwa-Zulu Natal. With two nights at Emseni camp near Winterton including the best of Berg and Bush trails, it then heads to the foothills of the majestic Drakensberg. The ending is at Champagne Sports Resort with full view of the Drakensberg, a world heritage site. Your includes the last night at this special resort to reflect on a truly uplifting journey.

You will be hosted by the incredible parents and teachers and children of our schools and communities on the route. They provide food, warm and a spirit that money cannot buy. For some, the Old Mutual go2berg will be a race, for most, it will be a ride.
