Rotary K2C Cycle Tour
The ROTARY K2C cycle Tour offers the “serious cyclist†the opportunity to participate in a unique and select riding experience through some of the most renown private game reserves bordering on the Kruger National Park. The route is 100km in length and starts at the edge of the Kruger National Park (near Orpen Gate) and heads off through the Timbavati, Thornybush and Kapama Private Game Reserves and then crosses the R40 and continues into the Blue Canyon Conservancy. THE START
The start of your tour is on the Orpen Road at at one of the private entrance gates into the Timbavati Reserve. It is directly on the edge of the Kruger National Park.
At the start line, you will meet up with your bikes - if you have opted for the supplied transport option, there are also portable toilets available,
Each peloton will have their own demarcated area in which they will need to wait for their peloton's starting time.
MEAL POINTS
There is breakfast and lunch supplied en-route and included in your tour package.
Breakfast is at one of the small rustic camps in the Timbavati and is supplied by Haernartsburg Rotary Club - they have become renown for an awesome breakfast treat in the middle of the bush.
Lunch is then served under shade of trees as you enter the Blue Canyon Conservancy and has historically consisted of .... SPUR in the bush.
WATER POINTS
In addition to the 2 meal points, there are also 3 different water points, each of these offer you the opportunity to refill your water bottles, grab some Powerade and an array of snacks to keep you energised till your next stopping point

THE FINISH
The very end of the tour will bring you into the canyon, and down through the camping site of the resort, finally heading up towards the pool area and ending up just below the pools where the entire Rotary team as well as the rest of your family will be waiting for you. .
A cold beer, great camaraderie, and relaxing those weary legs under the shade of the trees is a great way to end an even greater day
