Gamka Heritage Challenge

Gamka Heritage Challenge is a unique Mtb race with routes from Celebratio Venue in and around the Gamka Oos Area. In addition to the Mtb race there is also a Trail Run. The race will start and finish at Celebratio Pomegranate Farm near Calitzdorp and will take riders on gravel roads in the Gamka Oos area. Riders will pass the Calitzdorp Warm Water Spa and Karoo Water on the outscirts of the Gamka River. About Celebratio Pomegranate Farm "The farm Celebratio, situated between Oudtshoorn and Calitzdorp in the Little Karoo, is owned by a third-generation Meyer who refused to take “no” for an answer when experts said the land was not suitable for the cultivation of any crops. Today Celebratio sucessfully grows and exports pomegranates. Gerhard permanently moved to the farm in October 2017. Since then he has been busy establishing an eco tourism leg to the farm. His dream is to make Celebratio a landmark in the Little Karoo with an offering second to none. The function venue is up and running, one can book a farm stay in one of the cottages or manor house on the farm or attend a music concert under the magical Little Karoo night sky Back at Celebratio, Our Race Village, you can enjoy a good meal, an ice cold beer and even fresh pomegranate juice!!
