Perdeberg Funride

The Perdeberg Funride will take place on Sunday, 6 February 2022 at Perdeberg Cellar in Paarl. Entries close on Tuesday, 1 February, so don’t delay and secure your place on the start line today, entries are limited.

This is an official seeding event for the 2022 Cape Town Cycle Tour and one of the last chances to improve your seeding for the event in March.

All riders will receive an event specific number. Please remember to wear your race number and your Racetec timing chip. All finishers will receive a medal and coke at the finish.

Route:

The route is 98km and will start at Perdeberg Cellar, this is the perfect route to bump up your Cape Town Cycle Tour seeding with just one big climb at Bothmaskloof Pass. The route will head out towards the R44 and then riders will take a left turn towards Wellington. There will be a detour via the R45 and then Lady Loch to avoid the roadworks. Once in Wellington riders will turn left on the R44 and then continue straight where waterpoint 1 at 20.8km and waterpoint 2 at 32km will be to keep riders hydrated. Another left onto the R46 towards Hermon and Riebeek Kasteel where Bothmaskloof pass awaits. At the top of the pass waterpoint 3 will be at 54km. After the pass riders will make their way back to the venue via the R44 and have their final waterpoint at 78.5km, shortly after the waterpoint riders will turn right into Slent Road and the final left into Vryguns Road where the finish will await just before Perdeberg Cellars.
