WINELANDS EXTREME
The MTB Stage Race With A Purpose
The inaugural Winelands Extreme MTB Challenge will take place for the first time on 28-30 April 2022. This 3-day MTB stage race will showcase the world-class trails the region around Paarl has to offer.
The event will be run by three guys, highly experienced at hosting MTB events, building quality trails and the founders of the spectacular Winelands network of trails: Pieter Van Wyk (Wild Boar Trails), Darren Herbst (Paarl Adventure Trails) and Kim Lord (Banhoek Conservancy).
Besides great trails, awesome venues and unique off-the-bike experiences, there is a special element to this stage race. The Winelands Extreme provides an opportunity to present an event from three different stage locations and so showcase the entire region. More importantly, this event will aim to generate funds to maintain and expand the amazing Winelands Trails network. Contributing towards creating jobs, supporting community projects, boosting local businesses, and preserving this piece of heaven for all to enjoy. What better way to enjoy three days of bliss on a mountain bike, knowing that your entry fee is re-invested into the trails you are riding.
The Winelands Extreme caters for two-rider teams as well as solo riders. Enter now and tick what is set to become a bucket-list MTB event for any serious rider.
